Our newsletter is one way of communicating with you about flowers and their care. With Valentine's Day approaching we want to inform you on tips to help keep your flowers beautiful and long-lasting and ways to save you money.

1. Cut 1/2 inch off the stems at an angle and change the water every other day.

2. Use a sharp knife not scissors to cut the stems.

3. Make sure you clean the vase with soap, when you change the water. Bacteria will build up on the sides of the vase.

4. Use the preservative, we send home with you when you change the water.

5. Out of preservative? Try 2-3 drops of bleach.

6. Keep flowers away from the window, TV, and vents.

7. Order flowers on Monday or Tuesday for the freshest flowers.

8. Needing to send flowers out of town? Find a florist in your recipients town and call them directly. It will save you in wiring fees.

9. Yes, you can order flowers from 1-800 Flowers, Teleflora or FTD at any time of the day but you'll pay an extra $15, then they will call us to fill the order.
